We’re grateful for the time, energy, and care our volunteers bring to The Laurels Farm. Volunteering is a wonderful way to connect with the land, our food, and our community and we want it to be a positive experience for everyone.

That said, The Laurels Farm is a working farm, and farm activities naturally involve some risks. These may include uneven ground, changing weather, use of hand tools or farm equipment, interaction with animals, plants, insects, and exposure to common allergens.

By choosing to volunteer, you acknowledge and accept these inherent risks and agree to participate at your own discretion. You understand that you are responsible for your own safety and well-being while on the farm and agree to follow all guidance, instructions, and safety practices shared by farm staff.

Volunteers participate at their own risk and are not covered by workers’ compensation or farm insurance policies. You are responsible for any medical care or expenses that may arise from participation.

By volunteering at The Laurels Farm, you agree to release and hold harmless The Laurels Farm, our landowners, staff, partners, and affiliates from liability for injuries or damages that may occur, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
