Our Story

The Laurels Farm is a growing non-profit organization rooted in the belief that farming is about more than just food, it’s about community. Our mission is to reconnect the people to the land, strengthen relationships between local farms, and create a sustainable foundation for New Hampshire agriculture.

Founded by the Villalva family in 2023, we started out as a a private MOFGA certified organic farm known for rainbow eggs, vibrant flowers, and local market presence, The Laurels Farm has evolved into a community driven effort to preserve farming heritage while shaping its future. The farm itself is located on a historic homestead that dates back to the mid-1700's and once held as many as 1,000 acres that served as the agricultural center in this area. The name, "The Laurels Farm", dates back to those early days and has been resurected as a tribute to our historic place in the community.

As the farm grew and expanded, we quickly learned that feeding our friends and neighbors was not as easy as it seemed. Giving away produce and eggs was not a vialbe business model. Building a farm store was expensive. Farmer's market fees were significant.
